Since the companies held by these mutual funds are large, the growth rate of the Large Cap Mutual Funds is typically less than other equity mutual funds such as Mid Cap Mutual Funds and Small Cap Mutual Funds. At the same time, Large Cap Mutual Funds are less risky and safer than these other equity mutual funds.
